WBCI is an international workshop organized in Brazil that aims to attract original contributions with an interdisciplinary approach, both in the field of technology and in the humanities, focusing on the development and use of computer systems and their relationship with the macro topic of Smart Cities (and its various variants). The event is an opportunity to bring together researchers, students and professionals who work directly or indirectly on this topic of Smart Cities, as well as the unfolding of the use of technologies in the urban context, also for smart regions and territories.
Topics of interest include, but are not restricted to:
Articles format:
Submissions in English or Portuguese will be accepted. The review process will be DOUBLE-BLIND, hence authors’ names must be omitted from the paper.
Papers must be formatted using the SBC Template (available at http://www.sbc.org.br/documentos-da-sbc/send/169-templates-para-artigos-e-capitulos-de-livros/878-modelosparapublicaodeartigos).
Papers in the following categories will be accepted: Research Track (Full Articles) 10 to 12 pages; Position Papers/Ongoing Research (Short Articles) 6 to 8 pages.
Submissions must be made electronically through the JEMS system, at the link https://jems.sbc.org.br/wbci2022 .
The article will be reviewed by 2 to 3 anonymous reviewers.
For an accepted article to be presented and included in the proceedings of the event, it is necessary that at least one of the authors of the article register for the event in the professional category. Each entry in the professional category entitles the publication of a single article, considering any of the base events or satellite events of the CSBC. Authors with more than one article approved at any CSBC event must pay a “publication fee” per additional article. The amount of this fee can be seen on the CSBC 2022 application page.
Accepted articles will be published in SBC Open Lib, SBC’s digital library, in the series Annals of the Brazilian Workshop on Smart Cities (WBCI), available at https://sol.sbc.org.br/index.php/wbci. All articles will be indexed with DOI.
One work will be chosen for Best Paper and also an honorable mention.
