WPerformance se prop\u00f5e a receber trabalhos em portugu\u00eas ou ingl\u00eas relacionados a problemas de desempenho nas mais diversas \u00e1reas de hardware, software e aplicativos de computa\u00e7\u00e3o (por exemplo, arquitetura de computadores, redes de computadores, sistemas distribu\u00eddos e paralelos, sistemas ciberf\u00edsicos, bancos de dados e sistemas operacionais).<\/p><p>Vinte e uma edi\u00e7\u00f5es consecutivas do WPerformance j\u00e1 foram realizadas pela comunidade, de 2002 a 2022, todas em conjunto com a Confer\u00eancia Anual da Sociedade Brasileira de Computa\u00e7\u00e3o (CSBC). Em 2023, em sua 22\u00aa edi\u00e7\u00e3o, a WPerformance ser\u00e1 realizada na cidade de Jo\u00e3o Pessoa, PB.<\/p><p>\u00c0 medida que os sistemas de computa\u00e7\u00e3o se tornam cada vez maiores e mais complexos, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio avaliar seu desempenho por meio de abordagens emp\u00edricas e\/ou modelos matem\u00e1ticos. A atual diversidade de sistemas de inform\u00e1tica e comunica\u00e7\u00e3o envolve diversos par\u00e2metros que t\u00eam impactos diretos e indiretos em seu desempenho. O comit\u00ea ainda se reserva o direito de aceitar como artigo curto textos submetidos na categoria de artigo completo. Essa abordagem monol\u00edtica n\u00e3o favorece a integra\u00e7\u00e3o de infraestruturas de diferentes fornecedores ou o desenvolvimento de ferramentas de controle e gerenciamento agn\u00f3sticas \u00e0s interfaces propriet\u00e1rias. As redes m\u00f3veis de pr\u00f3xima gera\u00e7\u00e3o e al\u00e9m s\u00e3o abertas, constru\u00eddas sobre arquiteturas desagregadas com hardware de diversos fabricantes, nativamente baseadas em nuvem e\u00a0com intelig\u00eancia incorporada. A &#8220;abertura&#8221; dessas redes \u00e9 poss\u00edvel em virtude da ado\u00e7\u00e3o de interfaces de controle padronizadas, que permitem a defini\u00e7\u00e3o de la\u00e7os de controle fechados. Assim, as operadoras de telecomunica\u00e7\u00f5es usam tais interfaces padronizadas e abertas para controlar infraestruturas de diferentes fornecedores e entregar servi\u00e7os de alto desempenho para os assinantes.\u00a0 Nesta palestra, s\u00e3o apresentados desafios e oportunidades de pesquisa para o desenvolvimento da Open RAN. Em particular, s\u00e3o destacadas propostas para o gerenciamento e a orquestra\u00e7\u00e3o de servi\u00e7os inteligentes.<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Biografia Resumida<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p>Igor Monteiro Moraes \u00e9 professor do Departamento de Ci\u00eancia da Computa\u00e7\u00e3o da UFF desde 2010. Igor recebeu o t\u00edtulo <em>cum laude<\/em> de Engenheiro Eletr\u00f4nico em 2003 e os t\u00edtulos de mestre e doutor em engenharia el\u00e9trica pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) em 2006 e 2009, respectivamente. Em 2018, Igor foi professor convidado no laborat\u00f3rio LIP6 da Sorbonne Universit\u00e9 em Paris, Fran\u00e7a.
